The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £ - £
Temporary post for 6 months approx.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday (with some out of hours work).
Starting and finishing times are flexible.
To start December 2025/January 2026.
Additional hours of work will be required in the weeks leading up to and on polling day and count. This may include evenings and weekend work. On polling day: from am until the completion of the count
While hybrid is possible, there will be times the postholder will be expected to be in the office full time.

Please Note:
All home/hybrid workers must live in the UK. Where an application for home-working is supported, it will be subject to a satisfactory trial period. Employees will be expected to attend Council offices for the duration of induction, and be on site in East Lothian workplaces, as required. Employees with a hybrid working arrangement in place will be office based and able to work from home, with permission, on an ad hoc basis.

Job Details
To assist the Team Leader to organise the delivery of election arrangements on behalf of the Returning Officer. This will include the administration of local and national elections and referendums.
