Female support worker required to assist a lady with a variety of tasks which will support her to live an independent personal and social lifestyle.
Area : Mullion, Cornwall
Pay : £12.60 ph
Up to 31 hours per week available, days and times to be agreed, some weekend work may be required. There are times when the possibility for extra hours to cover sickness and holiday are available due to this being a jobshare position.
Holiday pay and pension scheme available.
MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE -
DOMESTIC :
* Keeping house clean, tidy and organised
* Laundry
* Shopping
* Meal planning, preparation and batch cooking
* Bed changing
* Assist with gardening
* To assist with making and cancelling of appointments, writing and sending emails/letters and all other general administrative tasks.
* Any other reasonable duties that may be required.
PERSONAL :
Some assistance with showering /hair washing and dressing may be required.
Assistance to medical appointments
SOCIAL :
Supporting lady to
* Appointments
* Social and community events
* Shopping
* Swimming
* Generally helping the lady get out of the house as often as possible.
* Any other reasonable duties that may be required.
Essential :-
* RELIABILITY, HONESTY and CONFIDENTIALITY is paramount at ALL times.
* DBS check, cost met by employer.
* Employment references required.
* Must have good communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence as will need to drive employers car for taking lady out.
* Be able to take and follow instruction and confident in asking for help if unsure.
* Employee must be willing to train for relevent skills where neccessary. Cost met by employer.
Desirable-
* Competence in the day to day running of a family home preferable but not essential
* Some knowledge of M.E./CFS and Fibromyalgia
* Some experience in a caring role.
Qualifications for this role are preferred but not essential as training may be available at the cost of the employer.
Would be looking for someone with availability to start as soon as possible.
