Senior Planner
We're looking for a Senior Planner to join our Kier Rail team and assist on several rail related projects across the Greater Manchester area.

Location: Greater Manchester - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Responsibilities
As a Senior Planner, you'll be working within Kier Transportation and is responsible for planning and programming for large or complex rail infrastructure and associated buildings projects (over £20m). This may consist of a portfolio of smaller projects and may also involve managing planners who provide support with these schemes.
Your day to day will include:
* Develop programmes ensuring compliance with the Kier planning standard and the NR ICOM Schedule Management Plan
* Identify scope, constraints and ensure programme is compliant with the contract.
* Provide fully resourced programmes, produce resource histograms, resource level programmes, understand and communicate the effect on programme schedules to the project team.
* Update programme as required by the contract / project ensuring all interfaces are identified. Must be fully auditable via the baseline functionality.
* Attend client and 3rd party presentations and meetings, presenting programme and methodology as appropriate.
What are we looking for?
* Multi-discipline rail projects i.e., Civils. Buildings, Pway, OLE, E&P, M & E and SISS Comms
* Production of schedules from first principles
* Able to undertake strategic planning for project development.
* Network Rail GRIP process and or PACE (Project Acceleration in Controlled Environment)
* Oracle Primavera P6 – In depth knowledge and reporting to Client contractual requirements.
* Experience of NEC contract form and programme commercial management i.e. compensation events
