Job Title: Project Lead - Nuclear Engineering
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading multiple nuclear-related projects across the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering input into conformity assessments, safety case verification, and inspection activities
* Define and implement standard inspection processes and procedures
* Develop and approve technical specifications and procedures
* Contribute to the production of Project Execution Plans and Quality Manuals
* Act as a central technical point of contact for project delivery, ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams
* Maintain and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and manufacturers
Key Requirements:
* Strong background in mechanical engineering, with extensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques and welding procedure development in regulated environments
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline is essential
* Proven expertise in at least one of the following areas: Inspection, Design Verification, Welding, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Nuclear Safety, Pressure Vessels / Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)
* Demonstrable experience managing technical discussions and influencing key stakeholders
* Excellent technical writing and communication skills
* Familiarity with nuclear quality standards or other highly regulated industries
* Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and its application in engineering projects
