Salary: £28,080 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join a friendly and professional care home in Welwyn Garden City (AL7).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who is passionate about providing nutritious, home-cooked meals and understands the important role food plays in residents' health, wellbeing and quality of life.
Main Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for residents
* Catering for a range of dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements
* Ensuring all meals are presented to a high standard
* Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
* Managing stock rotation and assisting with ordering supplies
* Completing food safety and compliance records
* Working closely with care staff to meet residents' individual needs
* Ensuring all Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and COSHH procedures are followed
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook within a care home environment
* Good understanding of specialist diets and nutritional requirements for older people
* Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to update)
* Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance procedures
* Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen
* Reliable, organised and professional approach to work
