Position: UK Sales Manager\n\nLocation: Based anywhere in UK\n\nSalary: £55k basic + bonus + comp car/car allowance\n\nCompany: Chemicals Distributor\n\nThe Role:\n\n * To maintain and develop the Sales and Customer Service functions of the company, helping the company to achieve its Vision, Mission, Values and established corporate culture.\n\n * To provide professional and positive support to Partners, HODs, Country Managers, suppliers and customers.\n\n * To be responsible for the delivery of high-quality service and appropriate improvements, with an aim to achieving objectives in the areas of (but not limited to) Sales and Customer Service.\n\n * Undertake activities within but not exclusive Plastics, Rubber and PU market areas.\n\n * Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone / email with both existing and new products in allocated territory;\n\n * Identifying new potential customers within agreed territory in line with business focus.\n\n * Developing relationships with new potential customers in person and via telephone / email with both existing and new products.\n\n * Identifying key decision makers/influencers within each customer.\n\n * Identifying needs with each customer and selling solutions based on technical & commercial knowledge.\n\n * Identify range of products to take to market.\n\n * Agreeing budgets (sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales) in line with business plans.\n\n * Reviewing sector performance against budget on a monthly basis and presenting during internal sales meetings.\n\n * Identifying gaps within the product range and working to identify appropriate sources.\n\n * Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.\n\n * Record, analyse, report and administer in accordance with company procedures\n\n * Manage all opportunities for potential and existing customers through WEB CRM system, ensuring all opportunities / activities are up to date in terms of pipeline stage and logs.\n\n * Liaise and negotiate, internally and externally, using appropriate methods, to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.\n\n * Monitor and report on sector needs in terms of marketing, logistics and personnel.\n\n * Attend UK and overseas workshops / conferences / tradeshows as required.\n\n * Attend joint visits to customers with suppliers / principals.\n\n * Ensure company and area KPI’s are achieved.\n\n * Participate in staff development as required;\n\n * Support the Management Team, M.D. and any other partners as required.\n\n * Work closely with Sales Team, Finance, Supply Chain and CSR\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Must have a proven track record selling specialty chemicals\n\n * Ideally comes from a technical background\n\n * Chemical related degree or similar
