Overview
Applications are invited for a SpR grade doctor to be embedded within a well-established, innovative Department of Ambulatory Care. The applicant would be one of a team of resident doctors in a well-resourced unit led by rotating consultants and a large experienced multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, forward-thinking trainee who wishes to develop core clinical skills in ambulatory care in one of the leading ambulatory care units in the country.
The post is aimed at ST3 and above level doctors and can be performed Out of Programme or recognised as training (contingent on Deanery approval).
The Horton is a District General Hospital in Banbury with an Emergency Dept., admitting a largely unselected medical take. It has a 10-bedded CCU that provides level 2 care to patients. The planned medical structure for the CCU will be a designated ward team looking after these patients under the supervision of rotating respiratory and acute medicine consultants.
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence, and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family.
In 2023 NHS England launched its first sexual safety charter, and our Trust signed it. We pledge zero tolerance for inappropriate sexual behaviour and commit to the ten core principles. Oxford University Hospitals promotes a safe, respectful hiring environment.
