We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join our secondary school team in Wollaston this September. About the Role: As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will work closely with up to 12 students across the secondary age range, providing targeted emotional and social support. You will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour, attendance, and student engagement, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group pastoral support to identified students Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the safeguarding team, and external agencies Monitor student wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour, and implement support strategies Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students Person Specification: Proven experience or strong knowledge of pastoral support in a school setting Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage and support students with a range of emotional and behavioural needs A proactive, resilient, and compassionate approach Understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection (training will be provided if needed) Why work with Coba Education?
