Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer. The programme focuses on migrating data from legacy platforms into modern, cloud-based data environments, with an emphasis on automation, scalability and secure delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and support data pipelines as part of a cloud migration initiative
* Build and maintain data processing and transformation workflows using Databricks
* Support the migration of data from legacy systems into cloud-based platforms
* Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support data engineering workloads
* Use Terraform to define and manage cloud infrastructure in a consistent, repeatable manner
* Work closely with architects, project managers and delivery teams to meet programme objectives
* Contribute to the modernisation of ageing enterprise data platforms
* Ensure delivery aligns with governance, security and compliance frameworks
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven commercial experience as a Data Engineer on complex data platforms
* Strong hands-on Databricks experience in production environments
* Demonstrable experience delivering data migration or cloud transformation projects
* Experience configuring and managing Azure DevOps pipelines for data or cloud platforms
* Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
* Ability to integrate quickly into established teams and deliver at pace
* Active SC clearance or clear eligibility to obtain SC clearance
Nice to Have
* Experience working on public sector or regulated programmes
* Familiarity with secure, compliance-driven delivery environments
* Exposure to large-scale, long-term transformation initiatives
