Your base location will be in ether Huntingdon or Lincoln, depending on your location. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Digital Workplace Engineer to help us deliver an outstanding, seamless experience for every colleague, wherever they work and on the devices they use. You'll sit at the heart of our End-User Computing (EUC) team, owning the build, configuration and lifecycle management of Windows, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), iOS and Android devices, as well as the applications and policies that keep these platforms secure, compliant and productive. As a DWP Engineer you will be part of a Digital Engineering practice and will be deployed into a fast paced, high change and technically complex team supporting End User Compute Platforms and will be expected to collaborate with highly skilled and experienced digital professionals from multiple disciplines and capabilities. The role will be expected to operate within Agile, Product based working practices and will therefore have experience and a good understanding of operating within Agile methodologies such as DevOps, Scrum, LESS and KANBAN. Key responsibilities Create, test and deploy system configurations across mobile and desktop platforms, following change-control best practice and leveraging modern management toolsets (e.g. Microsoft Intune). Maintain and configure Windows, iOS and Android endpoints - including imaging, enrolment, profile management and troubleshooting user issues. Package and deploy applications (MSI, APPX, Win32, Apple VPP, Managed Google Play) and manage their lifecycle from pilot to retirement. Plan and execute OS and security update rings for Windows, AVD and Android, ensuring timely rollout, minimal disruption and full reporting of patch compliance. Monitor and enforce device compliance, remediate non-compliant assets and continually refine conditional-access and configuration-profile policies. Produce clear technical documentation, knowledge articles and "how-to" guides for both IT peers and end-users. Collaborate with Cyber Security, Network and Service Desk teams to design robust, resilient and user-centric solutions. Contribute to continual-service-improvement initiatives, automating repetitive tasks with PowerShell, Graph API or similar scripting tools. What does it take to be a DWP Engineer: Proven experience in an EUC / Digital Workplace / Desktop Engineering role Deep understanding of Windows 10/11 and Android Enterprise, and knowledge of iOS/iPadOS management Hands-on expertise with Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager (or equivalent MDM/MAM suite) Strong application-packaging & deployment skills (MSI transform, PowerShell App Deploy Toolkit, etc.) Solid grasp of Group Policy, configuration profiles, Azure AD Conditional Access and compliance policies Excellent problem solving, communication and stakeholder management skills Additional skills that would be preferred: Exposure to Zero-Trust, identity-driven security models Experience with Autopilot, Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrolment Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for endpoint configurations (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub) Scripting/automation with PowerShell, Bash or Python Relevant industry recognised certifications Opportunities are open to all suitably qualified candidates.
