This post holder is responsible for providing administrative support to the current course director of our cognitive behavioural therapy programme. They will be proactive and flexible and be able to operate under pressure to manage the course director’s day to day administration of the course.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide tailored, proactive and flexible administrative support to the Course Director, enabling them to perform their academic/research and leadership responsibilities with confidence and efficiency. The support worker will act as a cognitive and organisational ally—helping to manage written communications, streamline complex information, and implement strategies that reduce barriers.
The post holder will practice an inclusive approach and support building an inclusive university community where neurodiversity is respected and empowered and people can be themselves.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Of The Role
Customer Service and Communication:
* Assist with drafting, proofreading, and editing emails, reports, and course materials for the Associate Professor/Course Director
* Maintain effective communication with professionals, learners, academics, internal and external stakeholders as directed by the Course Director demonstrating excellent and consistent customer service.
* Support the academic quality-related administrative processes related to the communication of assessment, results, and certificates including preparing materials and documents for mail outs for the Course Director in CBT.
* Assist the Course Director to interpret and respond to complex written communications as required.
* Provide support to the Course Director by demonstrating techniques on software related to the course ensuring alignment with the course objectives and enhancing student learning.
Administration
* Scheduling and organising of meetings and Course Director’s timetable, including the prioritizing of tasks and managing deadlines. Create visual aids, checklists, and reminders to enhance workflow.
* Administer Blackboard and software used by the CBT Course Director including accurate data entry of course related content and including regular checking of data
* Support the Course Director with administration of line management duties including business connect and our internal applicant tracking system (Hireserve).
General
* Attend meetings to take notes and provide follow-up summaries as required.
* Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to the Course Director’s needs and dealing with students’ data and their clinical work submissions
* Assist with preparation of materials and presentations for the Course Director.
* Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g., the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practice
* Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required.
