Advanced Occupational Therapist Critical Care
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Critical Care Occupational Therapy team for a skilled, dynamic and collaborative Occupational Therapist to join the Critical Care Occupational Therapy Service. We are keen to hear from Occupational Therapists with strong leadership credentials and considerable rehabilitation experience. You will work closely with the Band 7 Team Lead to shape the critical care Occupational Therapy team and with the wider MDT (Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Critical Care Nurses and Medical workforce). This is a part-time post of 22.5 hours per week, with pattern to be discussed after appointment.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard Occupational Therapy service.
* Maintain an agreed caseload within the clinical specialism, performing advanced assessment of patients, including those with highly complex presentations. Formulate diagnoses and treatment plans as an autonomous practitioner.
* Undertake line manager duties for the team.
* Collaborate with the Inpatient Therapy Manager, Deputy Inpatient Therapy Manager, and the Occupational Therapy Professional Lead in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the service.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of services and practices that provide high quality care and interventions.
* Carry out special duties associated with the post (e.g., overseeing recruitment to Band 5/6 rotation, representing the therapy service at forums).
