As the key representative and ambassador for rent and service charges for our business, you will manage key processes and stakeholder relationships. Working within the Finance directorate of around 60 people, you will manage a small team and contribute to the strategic direction of the function.
Responsibilities
1. Provide expert advisory services to service owners and budget holders, ensuring Value for Money for customers while maximising rent and service charge recovery for the Group.
2. Manage rent and service charge processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and delivering excellent customer service.
3. Monitor and review service charge recovery, applying strong accounting procedures and analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.
4. Plan and organise resources for the rent and service charge calendar, meeting challenging deadlines.
5. Develop and improve systems and processes, enhancing service delivery for customers.
6. Support the delivery of the rent and service charge transformation project and the implementation of the new module.
7. Work closely with the project team to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience in rent and service charge management with strong leasehold and housing legislation knowledge.
* Understanding of accounting procedures and processes.
* Experience working within a Finance team with strong analytical skills.
* Excellent planning, organisation, and resource management skills.
* Attention to detail and compliance monitoring skills.
* Creative problem-solving abilities to improve services.
* Excellent communication skills and commercial acumen.
* Ability to handle challenging situations and conflicts effectively.
Additional Information
Reduced-hours opportunity (circa 30 hours over 4 days) is available; please specify this in your application. Standard hours are 37 per week, Monday to Thursday, 09:00 - 17:30, and Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
