Then look no further with this Head of Finance position working with a dynamic Charity Sports Trust!As the Head of Finance you will take the lead on the finance function side and be responsible for the preparation of monthly management and annual statutory accounts, cashflow forecasts, regulatory and tax reporting and co-ordinate budget processes allowing the board to monitor the successful achievement of strategic objectives and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.Competitive salary

Manage the finance team to meet performance targets. Oversee all financial reporting, including statutory and monthly management accounts.
Regularly analyse financial data for accuracy and suitability.
Actively participate in the Senior Leadership Team.
Continuously improve management information and monitor KPIs and accounting metrics.
Drive improvements in people, performance, and processes. Promote our brand internally and externally.
Lead VAT and tax accounting efforts.
Coordinate with Auditors to prepare statutory accounts for audit.
Embody the vision and values of Active Tameside, leading by example in customer focus and policy adherence.
Assist Facility Managers and Service Heads in revenue budget monitoring and forecasting.
Provide guidance on budget positions and recovery plans, ensuring consistent financial reporting.
Contribute to service, business, and financial planning integration. Help managers understand financial implications for operations.
Review and update financial policies and procedures as necessary.
Proven experience of a similar position within the non-profit sector would be advantageous
You will need to be ACCA or ACA qualified, but QBE candidates will also be considered
Knowledge, or good exposure to, UK company and charity law around financial and statutory requirements for UK charities including VAT
Ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
Hold hands on experience with Sage 200 software
