Role Overview
A leading financial services provider is embarking on a major data transformation, building a modern architecture with Microsoft and Databricks technologies to become a truly data-driven organisation. As part of our client's programme and management information team, we are seeking a Data Modeller & BI Developer to drive data modelling, schema design, and business intelligence reporting. This pivotal role will deliver tangible business value through data, supporting strategic initiatives and regulatory change.

Responsibilities

* Design and implement robust data models and schemas.
* Develop PowerBI reports and dashboards for strategic and regulatory needs.
* Create calculations, measures, KPIs, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
* Coach business users on data best practices and model usage.
* Enhance operational efficiency for PowerBI data ingestion and transformation.
* Contribute to data governance, quality, and literacy initiatives.



What you'll need to succeed

1. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX).
2. Expertise in Data Modelling and Schema creation.
3. Strong experience with Databricks and Azure Data Lake design.
4. Proficiency in SQL, ETL frameworks, and database management systems.
5. Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving abilities.
