233372 (AJM) - Team Manager role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran
Applications are invited from suitably experienced and motivated individuals to fill the role of Team Manager in this busy and well-equipped laboratory.
Microbiology is provided on two sites within Edinburgh/West Lothian with a combined workload of over 500,000 specimens annually. The successful candidates will work closely with a group of other Team Managers.
We need the successful candidate to have and utilise strong leadership qualities, organisational and training skills to contribute to the overall management of the NHS Lothian Microbiology service. You will be heavily involved in the day to day running of the lab, training and maintaining the department’s ISO 15189 accreditation.
Applicants must be HCPC registered, be educated to Masters Level (or equivalent) and have significant, current experience working in a diagnostic Microbiology laboratory at Band 6 level or above.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the department’s out of hours rota.
