We are now looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Nightshift Care Assistant for our Care Home, located in Cumbernauld. We believe you are more than a care worker. You are a valued member of our longstanding team that makes the world of difference to the lives of the individuals we care for.
Working Hours: 8.45pm start and 7.45am finish
Key Responsibilities:
1. To look after the emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centered approach.
2. To physically assist clients and help them where required.
3. To offer care that is based on dignity, compassion, wellbeing and responsiveness to their changing needs.
4. To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends and other stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Ability to demonstrate equivalent of level 2 in English.
2. Willingness to work towards Care Certificate.
3. A good standard of general education.
4. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
5. Ability to use a variety of differing methods of communication according to needs of service user.
6. Good written communication skills – form completion.
7. Empathy towards service users.
8. Basic IT skills.
9. High energy and drive.
10. Patient, caring and sensitive.
11. Adaptable and flexible.
12. Reliable.
13. Level 2 or higher in care.
14. Care Certificate.
15. Undertaking study in care-related subjects.
16. Experience in a care environment.
17. Experience, either paid or voluntary, supporting people with care needs.
18. Wide variety of interests to share with service users.
19. Knowledge of the local area.
20. Advanced IT Skills.
21. Creative and innovative.
