Job Description:
As a Food Service Supervisor at Sodexo at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, OX18 3LX, you'll lead a team, ensuring smooth operations in the bar and food outlets. Your role is customer-facing, with a key focus on interacting with our Armed Forces personnel every day. What you’ll do:
* Continue developing skills and complete required training.
* Maintain excellent client and customer relationships.
* Supervise and motivate the team to deliver high standards and engagement.
* Manage cash, stock, and equipment responsibly.
* Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of dining areas, transport, and associated spaces.
* Support with refreshment services, functions, and preparation as required.
* Follow safe working practices for equipment, chemicals, and cleaning materials.
* Check deliveries, report defects, and monitor stock levels.
* Prepare and serve drinks, including cellar duties.
* Supervise catering delivery, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
* Report any accidents, faults, or near misses promptly.
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
What you bring:
Essential:
* Experience in a catering or Mess operations role.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.
* Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable:
* Experience working in a military environment.
* Previous supervisory experience with leadership skills.
* Knowledge or qualification in Health & Safety and Food Safety.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Problem-solving and innovation skills.
