Head of Market Strategy and Analysis
ESP is looking to employ a Head of Market Strategy and Analysis to be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive customer and regional pricing strategies, to enhance shareholder value and ensure ESP remains competitively positioned in the market.
The Head of Market Strategy and Analysis will lead the development and execution of commercial pricing strategies, market analysis, and insights to drive business growth and competitive advantage in a real time/proactive manner. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and commercial skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Lead on market analysis to identify segmented trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
* Develop and implement comprehensive market and regional strategies (based on customers and size) to support business objectives and targets.
* Provide strategic insights, analysis and recommendations to senior leadership based on market data and analysis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of commercial strategies to deliver annual targets and long-term value for ESP linked to the Valuation Model.
* Oversee the creation and maintenance of management information systems to support strategic decision-making.
* Implement, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and campaigns, making proactive adjustments as necessary.
* Responsible for conducting regular trading meetings with Exec members, reporting on performance and presenting proposals.
* Leading on the data structure across ESP to support pricing MI and analysis.
* Present commercial findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and the executive leadership.
Person Specification
* ACA qualified (or equivalent) required.
* Previous experience of working in a Transactions Services team in an Accounting Firm or a Corporate Finance Boutique required.
* Degree educated.
* Proven experience in market and data analysis, commercial strategy, and insights.
* First-rate analytical and problem-solving skills, building and owning Excel Models.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills and an enthusiasm to succeed.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools, ideally PowerBI.
