Position Details
Location: Castleford
Salary: Up to £50,000 (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
* Support the strategic development of SEND provision across the school
* Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordinate targeted provision for pupils with SEN or disabilities
* Conduct Annual, Interim, and Emergency Reviews of EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice
* Lead on interventions to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional progress
* Provide professional guidance to staff and work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies
* Monitor and quality assure Teaching & Learning with a focus on SEND
* Oversee Looked After Children (LAC) and attend/review PEP meetings
* Advise on the effective use of the SEND budget and resources
* Line manage and deploy staff to maximise the impact of SEND provision
* Champion inclusion and ensure all pupils access a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum
Qualifications
* Accredited SENDCo qualification
* Hold QTS or QTLS
* Proven leadership experience within a school setting
* A passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
* Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
