Job Summary
#TeamNNUH are recruiting for Senior Cardiac Physiologists to join our busy team in Technical Cardiology. As a result of a recent £15 million spend on our Interventional Radiology Unit (IRU) and a complete refurbishment of the Cardiac catheter labs, the department is going from strength to strength. We are seeking dedicated individuals who can communicate in a personable, approachable and respectful manner to staff and patients. Working predominantly within our dedicated Cardiac cath labs and Cardiology Outpatients, you will be part of a team that delivered over 6,000 procedures last year. Working alongside our Senior Cardiac Physiologists, Chief Physiologists and 23 Consultant Cardiologists, you will play a pivotal role in patient care. As part of our busy team in the 6th largest acute hospital Trust in the UK, you will have ample opportunities for continuous development and learning, supported by the Trust and your department for career progression. This is an exciting opportunity to join a department that delivers some of the most advanced cardiology services in the country.
Main duties of the job
We cover a range of services including the acute cardiology ward, angiography suite, and our coronary care unit which is the PPCI Centre for Norfolk. We also manage a large non‑invasive workload, including ambulatory monitoring, pacemaker and loop recorder follow‑up and echocardiography (TTE, TOE, stress echo and congenital heart disease). You will work in Cardiac catheter labs helping to perform coronary angiography, PCI, primary PCI and the implantation of pacemakers (including ICD, CRTP and CRTD) and implantable loop recorders. Electrophysiology studies are also performed in the department, alongside ambulatory monitoring analysis. We are committed to training you in all aspects of the job and you will benefit from regular sessions in echocardiography and pacemaker follow‑up clinics.
