The Design and Technology Department
Our well-resourced Design and Technology department is a hub for creativity and practical skills. The team of five experienced teachers, supported by two technicians, covers food technology, resistant materials, graphics, hospitality & catering and product design. We boast excellent facilities, including a fully equipped workshop, a food room, and a CAD/CAM room with two laser cutters.
The role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology teacher to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced professionals to make a significant impact.
You Will
* Inspire students through hands-on, creative, and problem-solving projects.
* Deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and support all learners.
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
* Maintain a safe and stimulating workshop environment.
* Teach Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on KS4 Product Design.
* Be able to teach KS3 resistant materials, graphics, and food technology as required.
* Utilise and teach CAD/CAM effectively.
* Use a range of computer packages including techsoft 2D design, google sketchup, photoshop and illustrator.
