Project Manager (New Build Social Housing) Required - Yorkshire
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager for one of our clients who are a leading housing association and developer, with large sites across the Yorkshire region.
Our client are ideally looking for someone with PM experience, who has worked on and is familiar with housing association frameworks and has liaised and worked with large developers and contractors. Their sites are a ta a variety of stages, from design right through to DLP, so you will need to be prepared to take on handovers for between 5-8 sites of varying levels.
The right candidate for this role will either have or be willing to work towards their membesrship in the CIoB and will have either HNC or HND in building studies.
General day to day duties will include :
* Fulfilling requirements as set out with the role profile
* Working with colleagues in the Commercial team in preparing and issuing tender documents, evaluating returns and awarding contracts on relevant land-led schemes
* Responsibility for undertaking regular site inspections to ensure that the required progress, quality and health, safety and environmental standards are achieved and reported on, with the ability to take ownership of high volumes when required
* Attend all Pre-Start and Progress Meetings throughout the duration of the project to liaise with Contractors/Developers and ensure targets and milestones are being achieved.
* Responsible for the production of detailed weekly and monthly reports to inform regular monitoring of developments including, but not limited to progress of works, details of any delays/variations, agreeing client instructions/directions, any H,S & E issues and any details of events of significance
* To be responsible for liaison with contractor/developer though the handover process, including inspection visits, preparing schedules of outstanding works and ensuring all ‘snagging’ items are rectified
On offer is a permanent position with a solid work stream and live sites to take over. You will not be expected to work in our clients office and will work remote, with presence on site as and when required. You will report to the senior PM and have a team of assistan PM's, site managers and support staff to assist in the running of projects.
