About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include planning and implementing activities that delight our Residents, helping the Home Manager organise fundraising events, and encouraging Residents to socialise and engage in hobbies. You will work with the care home team to foster a sense of kindness and community.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should be considerate and kind in all communications with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional training as needed. You should be proactive in seeking advice and reporting concerns.
We offer full training and a range of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream - flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with support for qualifications

* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 support
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a Friend scheme up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to fostering an inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and aim for a quick onboarding process from offer to start date.
