Weston College is a delivery partner of the Kings Trust and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Youth Development Officer to be responsible for the delivery of the Team programme through Weston College. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. There are multiple positions available for this role. This role may involve occasional evening or weekend work. Travel within the community may be required to engage with young people and partners. Day to day duties Developing creative approaches to engaging with young people through outreach, referrals, and community partnerships to support NEET individuals into the programme. Design and deliver innovative and engaging personal development sessions, workshops, and one-to-one coaching activities with young people supporting them to overcome barriers and make progress toward positive progressions. Lead and support activities as part of learner residential. Required skills and qualifications Experience working with young people, particularly those facing barriers to education, training or employment. Proven ability to deliver engaging group sessions and one-to-one mentoring or coaching. Strong understanding of youth development principles, employability skills, and the challenges faced by NEET young people.
