As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will work closely with clients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team. Your responsibilities include caring for clients' physical and emotional needs, following care plans, and monitoring progress. These plans will be reviewed and updated to reflect rehabilitation goals. Rehabilitation nurses maintain high clinical skills while helping clients exercise to gain strength, assisting with adaptive devices, and acting as educators and trainers.
Main duties of the job
The Rehabilitation Nurse at STEPS assists clients with personal care needs while supporting their independence. Responsibilities include administering medications, assessing self-medication capabilities, and participating in advanced skills training such as tracheostomy care, cough assists, CPAP, and bladder scanning. You will attend goal-setting and progress review meetings and help lead a team of Rehabilitation Assistants to ensure smooth therapy schedules.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse on the NMC register
* Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
* Trainer/train-the-trainer qualification
* Mentorship or teaching qualification
* Management/supervision courses
Experience
* Nursing experience with a rehabilitation component, including placements for newly qualified nurses
* IT skills including Microsoft Office
* Experience within governance frameworks and clinical systems
* Knowledge of the Data Protection Act
* Rehabilitation experience in neurology, orthopaedics, spinal injuries, or polytrauma
* Training package development and delivery experience
* Experience with audits
