Priory Hospital Barnt Green offers a full‑time role of 37.5 hours per week. The role pays £43,014‑£46,314 per year, depending on experience. Candidates should have at least 18 months to 2 years of post‑registration experience. The position is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses and will be based on the private ward.
This private ward provides mental health support for adults and young people, including specialist therapy, psychiatry, and private autism assessments. The hospital features modern facilities, a peaceful atmosphere, and south‑facing garden areas.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to patient wellbeing, using proven therapies to support recovery. You will assist qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans. Your responsibilities include:
* Performing routine nursing tasks and activities, ensuring patient dignity and treatment standards.
* Working as a Senior Nurse or equivalent in the ward, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
* Applying relevant policies, statutory requirements, and governance frameworks.
* Assessing and managing risk across the working environment.
* Promoting and role‑modeling diversity and inclusion within the team.
What you'll bring to the role
Essential
* Current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
* At least 18 months to 2 years of post‑registration experience in mental health nursing.
Desirable
* Background in mental health, particularly within a private ward setting.
* Experience managing complex and dynamic clinical environments.
* Strong clinical decision‑making, resilience, and proactive approach to delivering safe, high‑quality care.
