About the Role
West Ham United Football Club’s Football Science & Medicine Department is offering an exciting placement opportunity for a Physical Performance Scientist within the Academy for the 2026/27 season.
This placement provides hands‑on experience in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support player development and performance. You will work closely with Physical Development Coaches, Nutritionists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists to help solve performance‑related problems using data‑informed approaches.
You will also contribute to player monitoring, testing, and performance insight development, and have the opportunity to translate findings into actionable strategies through research, data visualisation, and presentations.
Requirements
* Must form part of a degree programme ending after January 2027.
* Ability to commit to the full 2026/27 season.
* Enhanced DBS check with Child’s Barred List required.
* Ability to travel between multiple Club venues.
