Job summary
Fern House Surgery are looking to recruit a reception manager on a full time basis to further develop the excellent service being offered by the practice to the local community. The post-holder will manage staff and the workload in the reception area.
The reception manager provides a vital role within the surgery. They will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the reception area and be responsible for managing a team of receptionists as well as providing support to the practice manager.
This advert may close early if a suitable candidate is found before the advertised closing date is reached.
Main duties of the job
The role is very demanding and requires the expertise of good communication and organisation skills. The reception manager will need to demonstrate the ability to work alone using their own initiative as well as within the framework of a team.
They will be responsible for the efficient management and direction of the reception team, ensuring all administrative duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice.

4. Previous experience within the NHS, GP surgery or medical environment;
5. Experience in the use of SystmOne;
6. Experience with GP rotas, templates and how a surgery works on a daily basis
7. Self-motivation and forward thinking approach;
8. Excellent organisational, staff management, planning, IT and communication skills with a team spirit.
