If you're a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, or Social Worker, we're looking for you to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service team based in Salisbury Community CAMHS.
As the Clinical Specialist Mental Health Liaison Practitioner, you will help lead the liaison service at Salisbury District Hospital, working alongside Liaison Lead colleagues to deliver and develop the CAMHS Liaison Service across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire (BSW).
Main duties of the job
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of young people with mental health needs who present to the acute District General Hospital in Salisbury.
* Contribute to the clinical leadership of the team and provide supervision for other team members.
* Participate in providing day support and consultation to hospital staff where a mental health need is identified.
* Identify and provide CAMHS training.
* Provide primary link to CAMHS within the acute District General Hospital.
This is a varied and rewarding role within a highly supportive team.

Knowledge Requirements
* Knowledge of mental health and community care legislation and policy.
Qualifications – Academic/Skills/Professional
* RMN/OT/Social Worker with mental health training.
* Current registration with relevant professional body; NMC, HCPC.
* Leadership Training/Experience.
Experience
* Experience as a Band 6 or equivalent Mental Health professional.
* Understanding and experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of mental health needs.
* Experience of care coordination/role of Lead Professional.
Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study.
