Live-in Carer
Join Nurseplus as a Live-in Carer – Make a Real Difference in Your Community Every Day. If you’re passionate about helping vulnerable people, you’ll provide compassionate care directly in clients’ homes, including companionship, personal care, managing complex care needs and medication requirements. You’ll help clients stay independent and give peace of mind to their relatives.
Responsibilities
As a Live-in Carer, you will:
* Provide personal care and assist with nutritional needs
* Administer medication as required
* Offer companionship and support in clients’ homes
* Work in one household (typically one or two clients) for the duration of the shift
Placements can range from 2 to 12 weeks with the same home, depending on client needs and flexibility. Examples of working patterns and pay include:
* 2 weeks on / 1 week off (35 weeks per year, with 17 weeks off)
* 12 weeks on / 1 week off (48 weeks per year)
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll provide personal care, assist with nutritional needs, administer medication, and offer companionship to help clients feel valued and cared for in their own homes.
What We’re Looking For
* You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK
* A full UK driving licence is essential, with access to your own vehicle
* Strong communication skills and a good standard of English
* An enhanced DBS (certificate) required, which you can apply for upon registration
