Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Wakefield for a Design Engineer. The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical and product designs, developing and reviewing CAD drawings, and collaborating on engineering projects. Day-to-day tasks will include contributing to technical problem-solving, supporting engineering processes, and ensuring designs comply with safety and regulatory standards. The role demands close collaboration with manufacturing, project teams, and external clients to deliver high-quality, customized noise control solutions.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design
Experience in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong understanding of concepts and application in industrial settings
Skilled in the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software Solidworks and PDM and AutoCad.
Knowledge of P&ID
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles and their integration in product design (A bonus)
Strong communication and collaboration skills for liaising with clients and cross-functional teams
Commitment to adhering to safety, compliance, and quality standards
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience in acoustic or noise control industries is a plus
