Position: Credit Control Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller / Directors
We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control team. You will be responsible for managing the team and overseeing all credit control activities within the company.
Responsibilities
1. Managing a team of credit controllers.
2. Overseeing the credit control team and their portfolio of debtor accounts, ensuring adherence to company processes, credit and payment terms, and credit checks.
3. Producing and analyzing debt reports, reporting risks, variances, and action plans.
4. Conducting monthly cash flow forecasting.
5. Maintaining reports on credit applications, payments, bad debts, and providing relevant analysis.
6. Processing bad debt collections, including small claims, insurance, and correspondence.
7. Collaborating with the Sales Director to manage problematic accounts.
8. Resolving billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies within specified timeframes.
9. Supporting daily credit control activities as required.
10. Developing strategic partnerships within management to promote communication, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
11. Reviewing and maintaining the company's credit policy.
12. Liaising with HR to ensure staffing needs are met and policies are followed.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
* Good knowledge of credit control functions within a business.
* Previous managerial experience in a high-volume billing environment.
* Understanding the importance of prioritizing workload and leading a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Additional Details
Location: Head Office, Greysteel
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 per annum
