Operator Recruiter
Wembley
Up to £50k DOE

We’re supporting a well-established plant hire business in the recruitment of a driven and organised Plant Recruiter to join their busy team based in Wembley. Operating across the UK and Ireland, this company is recognised for its modern fleet, exceptional service standards, and commitment to safety and sustainability. The Plant Recruiter will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless supply of high-quality plant operators by proactively sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates. If you have experience recruiting within construction or a related sector and enjoy working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and reputable organisation.

Responsibilities:
Source plant operators using the internal candidate database.
Handle general day-to-day queries from operators and internal staff.
Proactively find, screen, and engage new plant operators.
Verify all operator documentation and references thoroughly.
Maintain high levels of organisation and plan recruitment activity in advance.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing operators.
Troubleshoot recruitment or operational issues quickly and effectively.
Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
Communicate professionally and clearly with candidates and internal teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement in recruitment processes and outcomes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior resourcing or recruitment experience, preferably in construction or plant hire.

Strong verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Proven ability to follow processes and instructions accurately.

Experience working with CRM/databases to manage candidates.

Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.

Confidence in conducting phone screening and interviews.

Familiarity with compliance and right-to-work documentation.

Experience dealing with contractors or freelance workforces.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities under time pressure
