Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Wakefield Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights – 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am) Holidays: 21days Salary: £53-56k DOE basic (average earnings circa £56-57k) Start Date: ASAP An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled MaintenanceEngineer to join a well-established site operating within a highly automated environment. This role would suit a maintenance engineer looking for long-term stability, strong earning potential, and the chance to work within a close-knit engineering team. The Role As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a range of automated equipment. The maintenance engineer will be assisting with mechanical and electrical PPM and reactive breakdowns. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out PPMs as a maintenance engineer Reactive breakdown fault-finding Recording maintenance activity on a CMMS system Mechanical fault-finding and like-for-like component replacement Electrical fault-finding using drawings and test equipment Occasional installation and improvement work About You This position is ideal for a maintenance engineer with a strong mechanical and electrical background. Essential: Mechanical or Electrical qualification i.e apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 equivalent Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in an industrial or automated environment Multi skilled fault-finding capability Confident using a multi meter Able to work independently and as part of a team Desirable attributes from the maintenance engineer: Experience within automated FMCG/manufacturing Siemens PLC fault-finding experience What's on Offer £53-56k basic salary for the maintenance engineer role Average earnings circa up to £56-57k Overtime available (2.0 Sundays, 1.5x additional rates) 21 days annual leave Standard pension and life assurance Ongoing training and development Stable shift pattern and supportive engineering team ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
