Location: Southampton, Hampshire, South East, UKTeam LeaderSouthampton£26,021 - ££28,912 per annumFULL TIME - 37hrsGenerallyoffice hoursMay need to support service at weekends on occasionsWill berequiredafter training and settling in period to join the 'on call' rota for managers.No bank holidays or night work.Southampton Accommodation Servicesprovides supported accommodation to adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across various locations in Southampton.Our aim is to provide person-centred support to our clients, empowering them to gain the life skills theyrequireto move on to more independent living. We work with a range of agencies to maximise the support and opportunities for clients.Although this can be a challenging role,itsalsovery rewarding. This is an exciting role, where no two days will be the same, you will take part in various tasks, such as running client activities and life skills projects. If you love working with people and want to make a difference in the lives of those you support, then please apply.JOB PURPOSETo lead and be part of a team that supports our clients to keep them safe and help them achieve their goals.To provide people with homes and specialist support so they feel more valued and secure, and ready to take the next steps.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESTo support your team to achieve their potential through regular staff supervision, coaching, reflectivepracticeand team meetings Toassistthe contract and performance manager with ensuring the service is fully operational, our clients are receiving theappropriate support,and service KPIs are metTobe responsible forattendance management, performance management, qualityassuranceand any other staff related queries To attend meetings, working closely with other agencies, services, stakeholders or commissioners to provide high quality support, manage risks and support service funding To increase the presence of service in the local area, and engage with local communities and external partners to develop relationships, toidentifyhow they can support us and our clients, maximise opportunities for clientsas well as help us to win tenders andmaintaincontractsTo plan your team's rota, taking training and absence into account toensure capacity within the team to support clients and prioritisehigh riskmanagement referrals To support your team where needed with their workload, and supporta small caseload of clients To be involved in the recruitment of staff for your team To ensure an effective andtimelyresponse to all safeguarding issues takingappropriate action To collate data and generate reports where needed To support clients and staff in trauma informed and psychologically informed ways To adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, following our safeguarding policy and procedure, and those of relevant local authorities, ensuring these arefollowed at all timesTo helpmaintainhealth and safety, ensuring clients, visitors and buildings are safein accordance withHealth and Safety regulations,policyand procedures To provide basic first aidassistanceuntil help arrives (full training is provided) To work confidently and efficiently when lone workingTo ensure accuraterecords on our client management system and compliance with GDPR through regular quality control checksTomaintainconfidentialityTo carry out any other reasonable dutiesrequiredin the interest of the organisation ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESThis role has line management responsibilitiesThis role has financial authorisation responsibilitiesThis role has on call responsibilitiesROLE REQUIREMENTSThis role will require an Enhanced with Barred List(s) disclosure and barring service check is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role.This role will require a full drivers licence and access to a vehicleThis role will require you to work flexibly across several sitesThis role will require you to work with clients on a one-to-one basisThis role may require you to work nights and/or weekendsThis role may require you to lone workESSENTIAL CRITERIAExperience of working in a residential or institutional or similarsectorExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenClear verbal and written EnglishStrong keyboard skills for data inputtingStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordConfident and assertive manner Strong teamworkingAbility to respond calmly to crisisDeal promptly with and effectively react to challenging situationsHave an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues DESIRABLE CRITERIAExperience of working in a leadership roleUnderstanding of the complex support needs of people experiencing homelessness or those with complex needsKnowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies, housingregulationsand the benefits systemUnderstanding of risk assessment and person-centred, outcomes-based deliveryWe reserve the right to close our adverts early if a successful candidate is found, so pleasesubmityour application as soon as possible.TPBN1_UKTJ
