Oculus Legal Group is partnering with a respected Legal500-ranked firm to appoint an Associate Solicitor with a background in Property Damage. This rare opportunity offers the chance to step into a leading Commercial Insurance team based in Edinburgh.
With a clear pathway for career progression and top tier client work, this role is designed for a driven solicitor looking to make a lasting impact.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own case load of property damage recovery claims and subrogated recovery cases.
ROLE OVERVIEW
? Manage a caseload comprising pre-litigation property damage claims, as well as litigated matters in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court.
? Meet annual time recording targets, balancing chargeable and investment time effectively.
? Understand client expectations and handle cases in accordance with service level agreements and established best practices.
? Effectively prioritise tasks to optimise workflow and maximise operational efficiency.
? Recognise and embrace your role within the wider practice group, proactively contributing to process improvements and managing a caseload aligned with your level of technical and legal expertise.
? Cultivate strong internal and external working relationships to support business development and gain a clear understanding of the Firm’s strategic objectives and client priorities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Proven experience in managing a caseload of property damage recovery claims.
Background in commercial insurance is preferred, though experience in similar areas will also be considered.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage a personal caseload.
Self-motivated and capable of providing guidance, supervision, and support to junior team members.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with internal colleagues and external clients.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
