This is a hands-on design role at the cutting edge of digital and analogue electronics. You’ll be part of a highly skilled, cross-functional team of software, mechanical, and test engineers working together to develop next-generation streaming and sound systems enjoyed by music lovers around the world.
From concept through to manufacture, you’ll take ownership of circuit design, simulation, prototyping, PCB layout, and testing — helping to shape the electronics that power truly exceptional sound experiences.
What You’ll Do
* Design complex digital and analogue circuits, including microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, DAC/ADCs, Ethernet, and DDR memory.
* Deliver high-speed digital and power supply design (linear and switched-mode).
* Prototype and bench-test designs, debugging in collaboration with firmware engineers.
* Create and review schematics and PCB layouts (Altium experience beneficial).
* Conduct feasibility assessments, architecture and peer reviews, and EMC/ESD pre-compliance work.
* Select components for long-term reliability and environmental compliance (RoHS, REACH).
* Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and specialist consultants in RF, testing, and PCB design.
* Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to technical excellence across the team.
What You’ll Bring
* A degree in Electronics Engineering (or similar).
* Proven experience designing complex digital electronic systems in a commercial setting.
* Strong technical depth in high-speed circuit design, DSP/FPGA, and analogue audio.
* Understanding of RF or wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) and EMC-sensitive applications.
* Skilled in lab-based debugging and use of modern test and measurement equipment.
* Confident using ECAD tools (ideally Altium), plus collaborative tools such as Jira and Confluence.
* A structured, organised approach with excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Why This Role
