About the Role
Jones Lighting are a street lighting company based in Leyland, looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Surveyor to join our team working on a project for Scottish Power Energy Networks across Merseyside and Cheshire. You will be based out of our Widnes office, but work may extend across the entire region.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the surveying, planning, and delivery of electrical works across infrastructure, utility, and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct detailed surveys of electrical infrastructure for new and existing projects
· Collaborate with design and project teams to interpret technical requirements
· Assess site conditions and provide accurate scope documentation and BOQs
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications
· Support project planning and costing by providing technical input and accurate data
· Liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
· Maintain accurate records and support post-project evaluations
What We're Looking For:
· Proven experience in electrical surveying within utilities, infrastructure, or construction
· Strong technical knowledge of LV/HV systems, cabling, switchgear, etc.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
· Excellent communication, reporting, and organisational skills
· Full UK driving licence (travel to site required)

Additional Information
This role requires candidates to be able to drive to sites and engage with residents to enter their premises to carry out an electrical surveyor of their property to take details prior to work being done on their connection. You MUST have a UK driving licence and right to work. You will be given a vehicle and fuel card, and can drive to the ares you will be working in from home - you are likely to be going to sites up to an hour from home.
