💷 Pay Rate: Up to £42.00 per hour (Umbrella, DOE)
💼 Contract Type: Full-time, Agency/Temporary
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Family & Children's Social Worker to join our Children & Families Team in Gloucester.
In this rewarding role, you will hold a caseload of around 18 children, delivering effective, evidence-based interventions that make a lasting difference. The caseload will include Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) cases, with some court work involved.
You'll work closely with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure every child's voice is heard and their safety, wellbeing, and development are prioritised.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of approximately 18 children across CIN, CP & CIC, including some court work.
* Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop robust plans to meet the needs of children and families.
* Deliver timely, evidence-based interventions with a clear focus on outcomes and impact.
* Work collaboratively with professionals, families, and carers to promote positive change.
* Ensure all statutory duties are met in line with safeguarding legislation and local procedures.
* Maintain clear, concise, and accurate case records and reports.
* Participate in court proceedings where required, providing professional evidence and analysis.
Flexible Working

* Hybrid working – typically 3 days in the office, with home working supported when appropriate.
* You'll be provided with a laptop and smartphone to support mobile and remote working.
* All children must be seen face-to-face, except in cases of confirmed COVID-19.
