The successful applicant will provide consistent patient-centred focus throughoutthe pathway of care for patients on a Skin cancer pathway. The successfulapplicant will work closely with their Clinical colleaguesto ensure all relevant patients are meeting their cancer targets by adheringto the 31 day and 62 day targets.
Weare looking for a proactive and motivated individual with excellentcommunication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a great attentionto detail.
Idealcandidates will have to demonstrate their experience in organising andprioritising workloads. Successful candidates will receive plenty of support,guidance and learning to carry out the role and will be supported with theirlearning and development.

Main duties of the job
TheMDT Co-ordinator role has been designed to assist in coordinating theseamless care of patients from point of referral, through the diagnosticpathway to diagnosis and subsequent follow up care. It will require the postholder will need to adapt to support the pathway as it continues to evolveover time.
TheMDT Co-ordinator will provide comprehensive support to the Cancer andMelanoma teams through the co-ordination of primary and tertiary referralsand supporting patients throughout their diagnostic and treatment pathway.
Thepost-holder acts as a single point of contact for patients and their familiesand as a liaison point between the Specialist Skin specialties (Dermatology,Plastic surgery and Oncology) at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of GCSE or equivalent
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience
* IT/CLAIT
Experience
* Thorough knowledge of patient administration processes
* Experience of working in a customer/patient focussed environment
* Use of trusts systems including PPM.
* Knowledge of Trust administrative protocols, policies & procedures
* Experience of working in a hospital environmen
* Knowledge of tracking and monitoring patients using information systems
