Clerical Officer – Customer Services
We are looking for a well‑organised individual to ensure an effective clerical support service is provided to our stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities
* Provide an effective financial business support service, handling and supervising both Council and school fund monies.
* Process manual and computerised financial, pupil and personnel information.
* Produce and analyse reports; type letters and reports; process purchase orders.
* Provide basic IT assistance; instruct, allocate and check work of employees; give advice and guidance on a regular basis.
* Support the head teacher and other members of the school management team; resolve enquiries from parents and children; liaise regularly with other Council staff.
Qualifications
* Experience of working in a clerical role and carrying out a wide range of support duties.
* Working with a range of software packages, including Microsoft Excel and databases.
* Strong organisational, customer care and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative; meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Desirable: experience of procurement systems (PECOS), Children’s Services systems and processes and supervising staff.
* Desirable: SVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
