Strong communication and teamwork skills. ELSA qualification desired. What are your responsibilities? Provide one-to-one support for a child with additional needs, adapting learning activities to suit their individual requirements. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and preparing resources to support learning. Work with small groups when needed to reinforce learning and encourage engagement. Support children with social communication, learning difficulties, physical needs, and speech and language development. Help manage challenging behaviour with a calm, firm, and positive approach. Build strong relationships with children, parents, staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. Promote high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment.
