MWH Treatment is seeking to strengthen our Delivery team with an Electrical Project Engineer based in Burham, with hybrid working options. You will report directly to the Project Manager and assist the Proposal, Project, and Construction Managers in coordinating effective and economical plant design and procurement strategies. Your role will include ensuring timely information issuance to support construction, commissioning, and operational phases in line with the Contract Programme, as well as providing cost data for forecasts and evaluating variations. Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring project costs stay within tender and allowance limits.
2. Submitting all payment applications on or before deadlines.
3. Completing and submitting contract reviews and monthly forecasts punctually.
4. Maintaining strong client relationships at all levels.
5. Supporting the Project Management strategy.
6. Establishing and maintaining contract filing systems.
7. Assisting in producing and monitoring the contract programme and progress reports.
8. Providing data for the timely production of O&M manuals.
9. Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and site management on design and procurement issues.
10. Monitoring subcontractor performance.
11. Preparing construction completion and takeover documentation.
12. Participating in external networking, conferences, and industry groups for professional development.
13. Maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach and providing honest feedback.
14. Undertaking additional duties as required, consistent with the role's responsibilities.
15. Presenting a professional image in all internal and external contacts and maintaining constructive relationships.
16. Ensuring confidentiality at all times.
17. Working closely with design departments to ensure timely, quality solutions.
18. Evaluating innovative solutions and processes.
19. Contributing to monthly risk and opportunity schedules.
20. Ensuring designs are safe to construct, operate, and maintain.
21. Completing the capitalisation process and managing governance, budgeting, risk, project planning, digital delivery, procurement, solutions development, stakeholder management, resource, change, and quality management.
22. Demonstrating key behavioral competencies: communication, collaboration, client focus, results orientation, integrity, coaching, and leadership.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
* A basic engineering background.
* Working knowledge of various contract conditions, especially NEC.
* Electrical engineering/technical qualification (minimum HNC).
* Experience in supply chain expedition.
* Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
* CDM & Health & Safety knowledge.
Desirable qualifications:
* Relevant professional qualification.
* Collaborative approach.
