4. Shifts: Part Time | Days (8am – 8pm)

The Role
We are seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to provide dedicated 1:1 daytime support for an adult male in his 30s with complex care needs, within his home.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building positive, trusting relationships and providing consistent, high-quality care. He communicates well and values meaningful interaction, so companionship is an important part of this role.
He has a strong interest in astronomy and enjoys films, using his laptop, and engaging with his hobbies. He also enjoys being active in the community, including trips to restaurants, museums, concerts, and festivals.
You will provide both clinical and personal care, including medication administration and moving and handling support, while also encouraging independence and supporting him to stay engaged in the activities he enjoys.

Key Responsibilities
5. Providing high-quality personal care with dignity and respect
6. Supporting complex clinical needs, including:
7. PEG feeding
8. Ventilation management
9. Oral suctioning
10. Supporting medication administration
11. Assisting with personal care
12. Supporting safe moving and handling
13. Supporting community access and daily activities
14. Monitoring and responding to changes in condition
15. Encouraging independence and engagement in hobbies and interests
16. Working collaboratively with family members and professionals
What We’re Looking For
17. A minimum of 3 months care experience
18. Confidence in medication administration, personal care, and moving & handling
19. Clear and effective communication skills
20. Ability to build positive, professional relationships
