Position Overview:
To respond to customer’s field repair and service requests by diagnosing issues and providing detailed information about the problem to the customer and Finning, enabling the creation of a quote within a cost- and time-effective manner.
Job Description:
Main Job Functions:
1. Provide an estimate of arrival time at the customer’s site based on job instructions from the branch, including details such as customer location, machine, contact name, nature of problem, and current work situation.
2. Contact customer’s site management to register arrival and presence, ensuring adherence to site procedures.
3. Diagnose the likely cause of reported equipment problems in discussion with customer operators or supervisors, using specialised equipment, and provide information for the required work to enable a quote.
4. Identify the parts needed for repairs, requisition parts, and determine expected delivery times to schedule service re-visits.
5. Undertake repair and service work on the machine according to the work plan, including removing, dispatching components for specialist attention, and re-installing to meet standards.
