Job description
 * One Sixth Form, Ipswich
 * 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year - Permanent
 * Salary: £29,093 - £32,654 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)
 * Actual Salary: £25,329 - £28,430 per annum
We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join our team as a Personal Progress Tutor to provide essential support and guidance to learners across various college departments. This role plays a key part in nurturing student success and supporting their personal and academic development throughout their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tutoring and mentoring principles, a passion for empowering learners, and preferably experience in Further Education (FE) and pastoral care. A minimum of a Level 4 qualification in Education or a related field is required.
Key responsibilities
 * Providing individualised pastoral support through Personal Development Reviews, coaching and mentoring students, and setting SMART targets for personal growth.
 * Facilitating weekly Next Steps sessions on current issues, monitoring and following up on attendance especially for targeted students or groups, and maintaining accurate records.
 * Addressing safeguarding concerns, supporting student support plans, referring students to services such as careers advice, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to track progress and manage behavioural or wellbeing issues.
