The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Drama Facilitator to lead dynamic drama classes for children and young people. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality sessions that are inclusive, energetic, and skill-building, while fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about theatre, youth development, and creative education.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging weekly drama sessions for various age groups
* Develop lesson plans that build performance skills (voice, movement, characterisation, improvisation)
* Support students in rehearsals and performances
* Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment
* Manage classroom behaviour positively and professionally
* Collaborate with the wider LCA team on productions and showcases
* Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience leading drama or performing arts sessions
* Strong knowledge of theatre techniques and performance skills
* Excellent classroom management abilities
* Confident, energetic, and adaptable teaching style
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
* Degree or training in Drama, Theatre, Performing Arts, or Education
* Experience working with children and young people
* First Aid training
* Experience directing youth productions
