Job Title: Transport & Logistics Coordinator
Location: Head Office, Redditch


We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport & Logistics Coordinator to join our client's team at their head office in Redditch. In this role, you will support the Plant Manager in the day-to-day planning and operations of transport, ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and personnel across various sites.
As the Transport & Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in optimizing transportation schedules, maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and building strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.


Key Responsibilities:

. Efficiently plan transportation modes and available inventory to meet project demands, ensuring schedules are optimised to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
. Handle all daily transport queries and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all transport activities.
. Coordinate bookings for services including Vac Ex, Van MOT's, windscreen repairs/replacements, and tyre services for vehicles and plant.
. Build strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to secure reliable and timely services.
. Support project managers by aligning logistics strategies with project timelines and budgets.
. Track non-mechanical vehicles and handle related administration for new vehicles.
. Address any speeding and parking fines.
. Support the hire desk with on and off hires where required.

Key Requirements:

. Previous experience in a transport or logistics coordination role, preferably in the construction or related sectors.
. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in transport and logistics.
. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Package & Benefits:

. Contract Type: Permanent
. Weekly Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30am to 17:00pm
. Holiday Allowance: 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, with additional holiday based on service
