You’ll join our high-performing Planning & Controls team, supporting the delivery of our capital maintenance programmes. This is a business-critical role where you’ll help ensure projects run on time, within budget, and meet contractual and operational standards. What you will be responsible for: Create and manage schedules in P6, ensuring alignment with Southern Water’s internal planning standards Collaborate with contractors to agree updates and changes before formal submission Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements and support the management of compensation events Engage with delivery teams and stakeholders to gather updates and maintain schedule accuracy Represent Planning in meetings with senior internal stakeholders and external partners Champion communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders Additional Requirements: All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a P6 test as part of the interview process What you’ll bring to the role: Essential At least 5 years’ experience in a planning role, ideally within infrastructure or utilities Strong P6 skills (or similar planning software) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Proactive, problem-solving mindset Desirable Experience in the water sector Familiarity with NEC contract requirements About Southern Water Southern Water is at the forefront of transforming Britain’s water industry, investing significantly to enhance resilience, sustainability, and service excellence.
